Lots of Perch news to share!
We have a whole host of interesting things to announce this month. Perch is now at 2.0.6. The last few dot releases have included small fixes and additions requested in support as well as functionality to enable some of the new features we are announcing today. Upgrading Perch 2 is as simple as copying over your core folder so why not update today?
New Blog app
Our popular Blog App is now at version 3.5. This release includes performance enhancements, new functionality for filtering tags and categories and template additions such as comment count.
By very popular demand we now have a WordPress importer built in. You can find out all about the latest blog app in this post.
Introducing Perch Feathers
Feathers can also be used to compile CSS that has been written using a pre-processor such as Sass or LESS, perform minification or any other task that you might want run before your front-end code is served.

Perch Quill Feather
All of our official apps include example pages and CSS, and we have wanted to create a unified theme for these for some time. With the launch of Perch Feathers we will be starting to roll out a standard look and feel across all of these apps over the next few weeks as we work on a programme of app updates.
The default Feather is called Quill and the design of the Quill Feather "theme" was created for Perch by designer Laura Kalbag. Currently you can download the Quill Feather and take a look at the included style guide. The new blog app also uses this theme for the example pages. Quill is a responsive theme, resizing for different device widths, and can be used as a starting point for your own designs if you wish.
Discounts for multiple purchases
Have you noticed that we now offer discounts for multiple license purchases? If you add 5 licenses to your basket you will automatically get a 5% discount, add 10 or more and get a 10% discount. We can also now accept payments in Euro and US Dollars in additon to Sterling.
Let us know what you think about the new features we are launching. You can talk to us on Twitter, Facebook or by posting to the forums. We are always interested in what you would like to see in Perch or as an official app, and we prioritize new features based on feedback.
