Energy Policy Subcommittee

You are invited to attend an organizational meeting of the Energy Policy Subcommittee

The Partnership is the primary advocate of Houston’s business community and is dedicated to building regional economic prosperity. This includes being the primary advocate for local, regional, state and federal policies that establish Houston as a top region in the United States for business.

The Partnership’s Energy Collaborative is charged with the mission of perpetuating Houston as the Energy Capital of the World. With energy representing almost half of Houston’s economic activity, the energy industry is a central driver of regional economic prosperity. The expectations for continued growth, as the developing nations industrialize, will continue to put pressure on energy prices coupled with global warming and energy security concerns. Energy has again become a significant policy issue at all levels of government.
The Energy Collaborative formed the Energy Policy Subcommittee to inform and advise the Partnership’s Board, committees and membership on energy policy issues as they relate to maintaining a flexible energy supply that is clean, abundant and affordable. The Energy Policy Subcommittee will promote a broad and balanced energy policy and support the missions of the Collaborative’s task forces that seek to broaden Houston’s portfolio of energy companies.
